Shkollë ‘Ismail Dema’, Fushë Mamurras

UPDATE: In the previous edition of the Gazette, we described the devastating impact of the earthquake which struck Albania on 26th November 2019. The epicentre was at Fushë Mamurras in north-western Albania. The AAA wanted to be involved in the reconstruction effort. Working in partnership World Vision Albania, the AAA provided donations to repair the the ‘Ismail Dema’ school in Fushë Mamurras.

As reported, reconstruction began in August 2019 and the school reopened on 14th September in time for the new term. On 19th October, the school formally celebrated its reopening. As well as teachers and students, the ceremony was attended by head teacher, Arben Difaj, the Mayor of Kurbin Municipality, Mjlinda Cara, and Elenita Roshi and Erlisa Bashllari from World Vision Albania. The AAA was represented by Rudina Suti.
